Generals Take Early Lead Against Power And Never Look Back
The Rome Generals took a quick 3 run lead in the first inning with Joe Bramanti’s 2 run double. The Power battled back in the bottom of the third with Marcus Espinal’s 2 run single. Lawson Burnett scored the tying run in the bottom of 5th, following a delayed steal and a throwing error to third. The Generals quickly responded in the top of 6th with Bermanti scoring Steve Peters. Cohen Nies went in to relieve Philip Sanborn in the top of 8 and strikes out 2. Wyatt Linde then relieved Nies in the top of 9. A single by The Generals scored one to increase the lead to 5-3, and the score remained 5-3 till the end of the game.
Philip Sanborn earns the loss and ended with 6 strikeouts in 7 ⅓ innings pitched.
Cohen Nies had 2 strikeouts in 1 inning pitched.

The Power will play at Cortland tomorrow night at 7 p.m. and return home on Thursday for a doubleheader against Olean, with 5 p.m. start. The Power will play two 7 inning games, one ticket will get you in for both games.
